# An app for finding healthy meals in Copenhagen and Lisbon, designed for people who are always on the move | Tog Lab

> Genki, based in Denmark, wanted to help travelers and digital nomads eat well in every city they visit. Tog Lab designed the strategy, the app and the visual identity, with feedback points built in so the product could evolve based on real use.

What we did

Product strategy, app design and visual identity

Users

Travelers and digital nomads in Copenhagen and Lisbon

## What changed

- Search built for travelersPlaces by distance, by dietary restriction and by reviews from people who have been there.

- Its own brand from the startA simple, friendly visual identity, with bright colors and map markers for each type of place.

- A product that learns from useFeedback points inside the app to understand real needs before building the next feature.

## The challenge

Finding healthy meals in a new city takes research and time. For people who change cities often, the hard part is finding recommendations they can trust.

### Time-consuming research

Finding a healthy place nearby took time in every new city.

### Unreliable recommendations

Generic reviews did not say whether a place catered to dietary restrictions.

### Apps with too many features

Users wanted a focused tool, without features they would never use.

## What we did

From strategy to app, with users telling us what was missing.

- StrategyRoadmap and growthProduct roadmap and a strategy for taking the app to other cities.

- ProductA focused appSearch for places by distance, dietary restrictions and user reviews.

- BrandVisual identityLogo, color palette and map markers for each category of place.

- ExperimentationIn-app feedbackScreens that ask what is missing, so the app can evolve based on the data collected.

App screens: map, filters and place details.

Map with places by category.

Mind map of the features during the strategy phase.

Construction of the brand symbol.

> We could not be happier with our choice of Tog Lab. From the first meeting to the final stage of the app and website design, the team showed care, professionalism, honesty and creativity in everything related to our brand.

## What this case study shows

### One job done well

The app does one thing for a clear audience: finding where to eat well in a new city.

### Ask inside the product

Feedback screens help decide the next feature based on what people ask for.

### Plan for the next city early

The roadmap already laid out how the product would grow beyond Copenhagen and Lisbon.

## Have a product idea you want to test before building it?

We start with a conversation and, if it makes sense, a design sprint with the people who will use it.
